Element XI with Coolbone Brass Band
A.M. Booth's Lumberyard's Thursday Night Concert series is proud to present Element XI with the Coolbone Brass Band.
Coolbone Jazz, Inc. is a unique band that performs a number of musical styles. Our combination of musical precision and stage charisma is perfect for a variety of venues. We have played at festivals around the world, and have performed the national anthem and breaks for the Atlanta Braves, the St. Louis Cardinals, as well as minor league teams from Nashville, Tennessee, New Orleans, Louisiana, and in Kentucky. Our band also had the honor of being chosen to host the first reunion of the Negro Baseball League during a weeklong celebration held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Our founder and front man has been performing professionally since he was 13 years old. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music, a Master of Arts in Organizational Management, and is currently pursuing the Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership degree. He has been teaching kids of every age and skill level for a number of years. Whether he is directing his college band or performing at your upcoming event, he always shows professionalism and leadership.
Element XI, With an eclectic collaboration that has been described as alternative electro-jazz, funk-hop soul, Element XI is on the cutting edge of music in the twenty first century. The essence of the music Element XI has perfected is reflective of the city that bears the name The Rocket City, Huntsville, Alabama. Just like the progressive city of its origin, the band endorses the ever-changing sound of a new generation, while forging a deep appreciation for the rich sounds of the past that inspire and shape the stylings of contemporary music.
The group is a diverse ensemble of passionate and talented musicians, who have been rocking shows since its inception by Daryl Lockhart in August 2012. The group cites funk band Earth Wind & Fire (EWF) as its major influence and the inspiration for the name and also aspires to mirror the paths of great bands such as EWF, Maze, and Kool and the Gang, who boast a timeless vibe.
The band's goal is to promote positivity, to produce quality and relevant music without compromise, as well as offer lively, and captivating performances while sticking to true artistic expression.
