Art of the Pie: Fruit Pie Workshop
This is the original Art of the Pie hands-on 4-hour workshop. Included in each workshop class are all ingredients, recipes, yummy snack and more. You will learn the lifetime skill of how to make great crust, seasonal fruit filling, pie lore plus so much more! Each student will finish class with a pie hot from the oven or ready to bake at home.
Since 2006, Kate McDermott, the creator and founder of Art of the Pie, has taught the time-honored craft of pie making to thousands. One of the most highly sought-after culinary instructors in the Northwest, Kate is widely acknowledged as one of the best makers of pie ever.
Named "Food Rock Star" by Seattle Magazine, and best cooking class by Seattle Weekly, Kate has given her Art of the Pie workshop to food luminaries and has received high praise from Ruth Reichl, Dorie Greenspan, Gluten Free Girl, and many others. Her blackberry pie has been featured in "Saveur" Magazine's Top 100 Issue and appeared on its cover.
Recently returned from teaching in California, DC, Texas, France and England, she has been written about in numerous books, magazines & blogs by award winning authors.
