Dangerous Beauties Presents: FEMME
Once upon a time.... Kings and queens, fairies and fiends, wishes, spells and neer do wells... From the Brothers Grimm and Aesop's Fables to modern-day fairy tales, many a story were told to delight, excite, inspire, and manifest a world of make believe. These stories also served to warn, caution, provide a handbook on life skills, or even institute a level of morality in a world not so civilized. Dangerous Beauties theatrical production Femme explores these favorite tales from Scheherazade to Dorothy in the land of Oz, reimagined in a different voice, with a different flair and perhaps a different choice of villain, hero, or heroine. Join us for a holiday kick-off show you are sure to talk about over and over again as we walk down memory lane through your favorite bedtime stories.
Dangerous Beauties is a collective of award-winning dancers and choreographers who are also doctors, lawyers, small business owners, teachers and artisans. It is their hope to encourage women to excel in the arts by creating an invigorating space for dancers and choreographers to explore their artistic inspiration and present new and evolving works to the public.
A portion of the proceeds from Femme will go to the Dance for Parkinson's Foundation, a cause near and dear to the cast.
