A Terra Madre Brunch
Slow Food Katy Trail and The Wine Cellar & Bistro invite you to A Terra Madre Brunch, a casual and delicious local-foods feast that will benefit our Slow Food chapter's delegation to the Terra Madre conference in Turin, Italy in October.
This will be a buffet, and you are invited to come anytime between 11 a.m.and 2 p.m. There will be a cash bar featuring Bellini cocktails.
Come share in the excitement, wish our delegates well and, as always, enjoy delicious eats! Here's the menu and more details:
Bruschetta topped with roasted eggplant-okra caponata, tomatoes, capers and rosemary
Sliced melon platter with mint and prosciutto
Assorted Goatsbeard Farm cheeses, dried figs and local honeycomb
Il Pesce, Carne e Uova
Trout in saor with caramelized onions, golden raisins and pine nuts
Creamy polenta with Italian sausage and crispy sage
Roasted summer squash, mushroom and herb frittata
Grilled carrots and green beans with spicy peppers,
dill, lemon, roasted garlic and olive oil
Tuscan potato salad with roasted peppers, black olives, oregano and red-wine vinaigrette
Panzanella with Uprise croutons, cherry and heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers and basil
Black-walnut Patric Chocolate biscotti
Elderberry-lemon corn muffins
Spiced peach shortcake with balsamic, cardamom and candied ginger

All ticket purchases are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, your ticket purchase is a donation to Slow Food Katy Trail.
