Native Plant Walk & Talk May 13, 2017 1:00 - 3:00PM Ages: 10 and up $5 per person, please register in advance
Native plants support local insects, birds and other animals. The concept is simple: native plants have developed together with the soil, climate and animals of our region. They support each other which means they can withstand the elements with less maintenance than many non-native plants. Naturalist Ed Dominguez will provide more insights to the benefits of native plants as he leads you on a tour of Seward Park's familiar, and maybe not so familiar, native plants. Ed can also answer gardening questions for those looking to incorporate native plants into their landscape.
