Freshman Class
Deriving its title from hip hop mag XXL's annual new talent issue, the Freshman Class inaugural show is a collection of origin storiesperformed by a crew of poets, essayists, monologists, and singersthat together form a portrait of the modern New York coming-of-age experience. If to be the voice of your generation is to wield superhero abilities, these writers makes a case for why their storytelling warrants the Marvel treatment, as they attempt to put into words how their influences, heritage, heartbreak, hardships, (and this God damn city) have made them who they are. Lineup to be announced!
