"Loopshop 5": July 23rd and 30th, 2012 at Chemically Imbalanced Comedy
Strangeloop's annual workshop series returns for its 5th year, bursting with 6 new works from local playwrights, each performed both nights of this two-night-only run. "Loopshop 5" highlights new works ranging from the ridiculous to the deadly serious. Join us as we delve into these pieces and become a part of the play development process!
"What Was Mine to Do" by Dustin Spence: September 6th - October 7th, 2012 at The Side Project Theatre
Originally seen as a part of last year's "Loopshop" and then developed for a staged reading in March as part of the City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs' new play incubator series, Strangeloop company member Dustin Spence's world premiere play explores the war in Afghanistan and its coverage in the media at home.
Holiday Cabaret: December 2012
Another exciting production of Strangeloop's ever-popular holiday cabaret show. Date and further details TBA.
"The Robbers" by Friedrich Schiller: April 25th - May 24th, 2013 at The Side Project Theatre
Murder and thievery serve as both tools for ambitious desire and valid career choices for the desperate in this powerful story of siblings caught in a battle of succession and purpose. Strangeloop brings its unique approach to this once scandal-causing classic in a contemporary and intimate staging.
$30 includes admission to all four shows, plus any additional shows added during the season (like our recent Valentine's Day shows). Please note that some restrictions and special pricing may apply for special events and fundraisers. Strangeloop shows with other producing groups are not included, such as our Chicago Fringe Festival production of "Shadows and Lust" in the fall.
Please schedule in advance of performance. When ordering, select the first date from the date selection menu. You will be asked for a valid email address so that we can contact you to arrange for a method of delivery or pickup of your pass or passes. We will not contact you for any other purpose without your permission. You can then choose to have your pass mailed to you or have it held at a Strangeloop box office for pickup at one of our shows.
