Nick Offerman/GOOD CLEAN FUN at Castro Theater
Nick Offerman is a man of many talents: actor on stage and screen, humorist, author of two New York Times bestselling books, and a woodworker. Now Offerman combines his talents in GOOD CLEAN FUN: Misadventures in Sawdust at Offerman Woodshop, the book inspired by a fantastic real-life woodshop located in Los Angeles. There Offerman and his crew of crafts-people produce fine handcrafted furniture as well as kazoos, baseball bats, ukuleles,and even mustache combs.
Good Clean Fun is full of useful, illuminating, and entertaining information, including a variety of projects for every skill level, with personal, accessible instructions, mouthwatering color photos (Nick calls it wood porn), humorous essays, odes to his own woodworking heroes, insights into the ethos of woodworking in modern America, and other assorted tomfoolery. Offerman hopes to encourage readers to see how much satisfaction can come out of putting down your phone, ignoring social media for a few hours, and enjoying some good ol fashioned elbow grease.
