The 6th Annual KENT MASSIVE returns to the Garfield Center for the Arts this Labor Day weekend. Get ready for the most diverse small-town music festival on the Eastern Shore!
Kent Massive is a youth-focused alternative music festival that brings diverse artists and audiences together to give inspiration and drive to the areas music scene. This year's lineup features:
DOGS & DAY DRINKERS: heavy metal from Rock Hall, MD KOTIC COUTURE: unique hip-hop from Baltimore via Butlertown, MD WAVERUNNER: new wave pop from Galena, MD YVNG SWAG: viral dance sensation from Worton, MD TEVI ANN: poetic hip-hop from Tolchester, MD ANATOMY OF AN OUTCAST: alternative punk from Wilmington, DE EMIL QUEEN: solo funk r&b from Chestertown, MD KING ACE: mindset rapper from Centreville, MD AYE ASA: hype rap music from Betterton, MD THE 47: pop-punk three-piece from Chestertown, MD TONY REYY: hip-hop from Severna Park, MD HEZZY MAK: chill hip-hop from Betterton, MD THE BLUES REINCARNATION PROJECT: classic rock and blues from Newark, DE MARC Q: powerful solo singer from Chestertown, MD
The first Kent Massive took place in a remote backyard, and saw performances from two DJs, two rappers, and a punk band. Since then, the Kent Massive stage has seen over 50 different bands and solo performers of all genres: rock, blues, punk, hip-hop, metal, electronic, soul, folk, indie, reggae, new wave, jazz. In addition to all the amazing local talent, we have hosted prominent artists from nearby cities like Baltimore (DDm, Blaqstarr, Brooks Long), Washington DC (Opal Rose, Triple Threat), and New York City (Latasha Alcindor, Rebelmatic).
