The Mighty Pen Project: M*A*S*H Readings
The Mighty Pen Project, in partnership with Carol Piersol of 5th Wall Productions and Phil Crosby of Richmond Triangle Players, is producing seven evenings of M*A*S*H, as a benefit for all three organizations.
The seven evenings of performances will be staged readings of the series pilot plus two episodes from the first season. The readings will feature many of Richmonds best known actors, including: Landon Nagel, David Janosik, Quan Chou, Harry Kollatz, Jr., Chip Lauterbach (U.S. Marine veteran), Wendy Carter, Dean Knight, Thomas Nowlin, Dean McKnight, Jasmine Shea, Andrew Firda, and Courtney Hans. M*A*S*H will be directed by author David L. Robbins. The shows run August 4-13, with performances Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM and Sunday at 4PM.
The Mighty Pen Project, founded by Robbins with the Virginia War Memorial, preserves and generates a living history of life in military service through veterans writing. It offers university level writing classes for veterans as well as their families and supporters, free of charge. The stories generated by the Mighty Pen are archived and anthologized online and in an annual printed journal. 5th Wall and Triangle Players are two of Richmonds top theatre producers and performance companies.
M*A*S*H ran on CBS from 1972 until 1983, becoming one of the highest rated and most watched series in television history.
Reserved seating tickets are $15 each, available at www.rtriangle.org and at the Triangle Playhouse box office. For more information, contact Triangle Theater at 804.346.8113.
