Tiny Rhymes / Marian McLaughlin Trio / Kaeley Pruitt-Hamm
Tiny Rhymes Buffalo-based chamber-folk group Tiny Rhymes just announced its upcoming tour of the Eastern and Southern states, slated for the last two weeks of July. Featuring tight vocal harmonies, richly melodic string lines, and the introspective songwriting of leader Sharon Mok, the group has received favorable press from its native Western New York and beyond. Artvoice writes, Some people like to write songs while others tell stories. Vocalist/guitarist Sharon Mok tells her audience a story. Her voice floats beautifully above the acoustic sounds of her chamber-folk band only to be matched with the soothing sounds of cello and violin. Tiny Rhymes offers listeners tranquility and leisure and its clear theyre here to stay. http://www.tinyrhymesmusic.com/
Marian McLaughlin Pushing the boundaries of folk music with imaginative lyrics, intricate classical guitar work, and rhapsodic delivery. https://marianmclaughlin.bandcamp.com/
Kaeley Pruitt-Hamm "A singer who songwrites. Grew up in rural Eastern WA where goats and Republicans roam, learned a lot from them (both the goats and people). Roamed the earth a bit learning about what happens when your own country's policy is to take and hurt without regard for human and environmental consequences. Wrote songs about it. Did some activism in Seattle against corporate ownership of what should belong to the people - healthcare, water, education, etc. Moved to the belly of the beast for a while (Washington DC) to try to do what I could to stop it, and realized what the world might really need is some more harmony." https://kphmusic.bandcamp.com/
