After wowing Vancouver audiences with their performance of Michael Gordon's "Timber" in 2013, VNM is excited to welcome back Mantra Percussion. Committed to honouring the deep past and expanding the far-flung future of percussion music, Mantra brings to life works for percussion by living composers. The ensemble returns to Vancouver with a program that features the world premiere of "Mantra Groove" by Canadian composer Paul Dolden*. The program also includes Canadian premieres of Lesley Flanigan's "Hedera", "Moment of Inertia" by New York-based composer Tristan Perich, and "A Great Many" by Aaron Siegel.
All composers will be in attendance.
