Intersections 2016
Intersections 2016 is a two-evening series of short theater pieces created by Richmond youth, drawing on verbatim transcripts of their own interviews with police officers, public defenders, inmates, and community advocates. The performances reflect the explosive tensions and transformations we find at the intersection of survival and the law. The play features 13 true, controversial stories from Richmond and beyond. Intersections 2016 is being produced in partnership with the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts' Iron Voices Project - a five year dialogue on race, opportunity, peace and justice.
