Igniting the American Revolution
Co-Sponsored by the Paul Revere House
Thirsty for new insights into the years leading to the Revolutionary War? Meet historian Derek W. Beck, whose new book draws on previously unpublished documents, letters and diaries to explore pivotal events of this period. From the Boston Tea Party to Paul Reveres famous midnight ride, from the the lesser-known William Dawess journey to Lexington, to Benedict Arnolds taking of Fort Ticonderoga and the letters of Gen. Thomas Gage - join us to learn something new about this tumultuous chapter in the American story. Mr. Beck will also share highlights from his second book, The War Before Independence, which transports readers into the violent years of 1775 and 1776, from the Battle of Bunker Hill to the exciting conclusion of the Boston Campaign.
