NEMPAC's Opera Project Presents: La Cenerentola
Once upon a time, there was a king, a trusty valet, and a philosopher. All who conspired to find the prince a bride.
NEMPAC Opera Project celebrates its 5th Anniversary Season with Rossini's La Cenerentola, performed in Faneuil Halls majestic Great Hall from June 23-26. Loosely based on the classic fairytale, La Cenerentola turns the standard story on its head, complete with an evil stepfather, bouts of mistaken identity, and most of all, the triumph of goodness.
Drawing on inspiration from the Great Hall, this opera asks the questions: Can we overcome our circumstances and rise to our true potential? Can our wildest dreams become reality?
