Physical Improv Weekend

The Magic Mad Hat is absolutely thrilled to have Mario Müller from Germany, Constance, hosting a two day workshop in London.
He will enchant the London Improv scene, especially, not only with his charm but most of all with his amazing skills, physical expressions and a great amount of experience.
We all know that Made in Germany stands for top notch quality and Mario certainly is the living proof for it.
In addition, his English skill are impeccable as so are his presentation, approach and kindness.

Workshop Details

During the weekend with Mario Müller you are going to learn two things:

Firstly: Physicality.

Your body always knows the truth. If you can read it, like the audience does, you always play naturally and the characters you embody are true and credible and funny. So the most work goes into creating different physical foundations for characters.

Secondly:

Perception.
On stage, we want interesting, unforeseeable development of scenes without anybody making things up and controlling them. This works once you see that a good response comes from your character reacting to your partners character rather than making abstract assumptions about what would be a funny response.

Once we learn to notice the tiny differences in our own physicality, we have a whole new world of characters to embody.

So we have a lot of energy in class, games, exercises, a lot of laughter and we always use it as soon as possible for our scenes so people can practice actually using it on stage.
Mario style Improv really needs to be experienced, because the difference between good acting, good Improv and fantastic acting or Improv is always the difference between playing characters and embodying characters. The rest is mindfulness.
