Pacific Voices Spring Concert 2016 - I Hear The Music Ringing!
Celebrate spring and song with traditional and contemporary choral music from around the world at Pacific Voices' May concert! Under the direction of conductor Dr. Sean Boulware, this acclaimed 70-member group will perform an exciting and eclectic program that sings, proclaims, questions and contemplates what it means to live in the world today.
From the haunting Prayer by Morten Lauridsen, to the lovely Seal Lullaby by Eric Whitacre or Schubert's comforting Litanei; to the surprising Skye Boat Song or Count On It, or the rousing South African Tshotsholoza audiences will hear the world in melodies, rhythms and poetry, represented by countries as diverse as Scotland, Israel, Kenya, Germany and Brazil. And when they hear the Quaker hymn, How Can I Keep From Singing?, inspired listeners may answer, I Hear the Music Ringing!
