LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER: SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN 2016 takes place Friday, April 29th, 7:00 PM, at the St. Joseph High School John & Dede Howard Auditorium, joining 41 cities across the U.S. and Canada to celebrate motherhood and Mother's Day for a second local season.

Each show is a well-crafted journey of motherhood, built to celebrate the diversity of and to support a local non-profit in that community. Southwest Michigan's show is put on locally by passionate producer and co-directors Kim Jorgensen Gane and Beth Haire-Lewis. They've held auditions and selected local storytellers to stand before you at a microphone and read their own hilarious, harrowing, and heartwarming stories about the truths of motherhood.

If you saw the show last year, you know you're in for a treat! If you've watched any of the nearly 1500 videos on the Listen to Your Mother YouTube channel, wait until you see a live show, pieced together into a beautifully layered quilt that tells its own story.

Listen to Your Mother began with one show in Madison, Wisconsin in 2010. It is part social media movement, part live performance. The show has grown leaps and bounds--well beyond your favorite mommy bloggers--to give global voice to men and women who, 1) might not be mothers at all, and 2) who probably never imagined doing such a thing. They share the common thread of being great storytellers, and they all have something to say about motherhood!

This year's incredible cast will not let you down:
