The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940
Secret passageways, Nazi saboteurs, and dead bodies combine to create a blizzard of mayhem in this sidesplitting comedy. This hilarious who done it pokes fun at 1940s suspense movies and campy musical comedies. At Elsa Von Grossenknuetens mansion, the creative team for a new musical gathers for a backers audition. The last time they met was working on a Broadway flop where the Stage Door Slasher murdered three chorus girls As the composer, lyricist, actors and director prepare their performance, and a blizzard cuts off any possible retreat, bodies start to drop in plain sight, knives spring out of nowhere, masked figures drag their victims behind swiveling bookcases, and accusing fingers point in all directions. However, and with no thanks to the bumbling police inspector who snowshoes in to investigate, the mystery is solved in the nick of time and refreshingly irreverent wit.
