On-Camera TV/Film/Commercial Audition Workshop with Scott Lairson
June 23, 2012: This workshop is specifically designed to prep actors for professional auditions in all media of video production. You will explore on-camera audition etiquette and techniques, and learn the valuable do's and don'ts of auditioning from the points of view of directors, producers, studio executives and casting directors.
Your host, Scott Lairson, has worked for over 15 years with Hollywood's top producers, directors and actors. (Please check out his extensive IMDB profile!) His extensive knowledge of the casting process is invaluable for anyone looking to make the most of their audition opportunities. Join Scott for an On-Camera intensive to learn how to "nail it.
Scott will dissect audition scenes and take each participant through the process from cold reading through callback to final callback. There will be an open forum for questions and answers too. Scott also incorporates all aspects of commercial technique for those interested in commercial auditioning. Actors will perform on camera.
Non-acting filmmakers are invited to audit the session, and are asked to identify themselves as observers, so that the attending actors will have ample on camera exposure. Also, to ensure that each actor gets his or her turn in front of the camera, attendance will be limited to approximately twenty (20) active participants. So please register early!
