Duck Dash Races
Imagine: 5,000 ducks yellow, rubber ducks, that is racing like there's no tomorrow. In a floating track - pond, that is - especially created for the race!
The event takes place at the Healdsburg Recreation Park on July 4, 2012 as part of the Healdsburg 4th of July Old- Fashioned Community Picnic brought to you by the Rotary Club of Healdsburg Sunrise along with many participating sponsors and community organizations. Races will commence at noon with the final race at 3PM. Be there to experience the joy of rubber duck racing.
35 valuable prizes will be awarded to the "adopters" holding the numbers of the first 35 ducks to finish the race. The Grand Prize is a personalized tour of our nation's capital, Washington D.C., with side trips to historic Williamsburg and Thomas Jefferson's home at Monticello. Of course, the Grand Prize winner may decide to collect $5,000 in cash.
Other prizes range from stays at hotels in San Francisco and our own Healdsburg, meals at some of our best restaurants, and other gifts such as barbecues and merchandise gift certificates.

Proceeds from the duck adoptions will help support many community services focusing on youth and families including:
> The Healdsburg Wonder Leaguea baseball league for children with special needs.
> Choices a program for 8th and 9th graders to help them focus on making decisions that affect their futures.
> Public Schools Success Team mentoring students for success in education and life.
> Scholar Athlete Scholarship Program recognizing scholastic achievement among our County's athletes.
The Club also contributes its financial and personal resources to the Healdsburg Education Foundation and the Healdsburg Jazz Festival Music Education Program.
