Description
The season concludes with a world music party at the Seattle International Children's Festival. The performances feature Afro-Columbian singer Petron Martnez performing the traditional style known as Bullerenguerhythmic songs originally sung only by pregnant women. Also on the bill is Reem Kelani, one of the foremost scholars and performers of Palestinian music. Reem and her band (some of the finest London-based traditional and jazz players) feature traditional songs and her own compositions. Presented with the Seattle International Childrens Festival and sponsored by KEXP 90.3FM and ParentMap. This concert is appropriate for children 7 and older.
