Hungarian filmmaker György Pálfi (Hukkle, Taxidermia) spent three years cutting together clips from over 450 classics of world cinema to create the ultimate found footage romance, Final Cut - Ladies & Gentlemen. With clips lasting no more than a few seconds, the film charts the standard projection of relationships as portrayed in the movies time and time again: boy meets girl, they date, marry, argue, settle down, have children. Movie fans will have a ball identifying the hundreds of films that clips were pulled from (Paths of Glory, Pierrot le fou, and Look Who's Talking? to name just a few), familiar faces include: Charlie Chaplin, Greta Garbo, Jeanne Moreau, Marcello Mastroianni, Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jackie Chan, Tony Leung Chiu-wai and Shah Rukh Khan. A rarely screened treat that remains unavailable online or on DVD.
