5th Annual Pesto Festo

Join Slow Food Knoxville and friends for the 5th Annual PESTO FESTO!
This year we will head east to Riverplains Farm in Strawberry Plains, TN where they have friendly farmers, beautiful views, and an abundant garden to share with us.
Arrive early on June 30th, around 5PM, for Farm Tours, Lawn games for kids, and to enter the Pesto Contest! Bring your dancing shoes because we will have live music for the evening!
A locally-sourced, Italian-inspired dinner prepared by the Hot Mama Soup's Casey Littell, The Night Owl Cafe's Jody Marchant, and Slow Food Volunteers will be served family style at 6:30, with music under the stars to follow . . .

Please bring your own place setting including plate and/or bowl, utensils, and a beverage container, along with beverages of choice and a blanket to sit on before the meal begins if you wish; the meal will be served at tablecloth adorned tables with chairs provided.

*Pesto Contest notes: Entries must be submitted by 5:30pm, categories are Best All Around and Most Creative Ingredients. One entry per person per category; please bring one pint minimum of homemade pesto in a container that you do not need returned. There is no entry fee.

Tickets for this year's event are $40 per non-member adult ticket, $35 for members, and $10 per child ages 5-12. If you are a SlowFood member and need the password sent please email us at info@slowfoodknoxville.com for a password to get your discount, or if you want to purchase children's tickets to this event.

Tickets will be sold online here and at the UTK Farmer's Market on May 30th and June 27th, 2012 at the Slow Food Knoxville booth, and at Market Square Farmer's Market (times TBD).

**We are asking for contact info with your purchase ONLY to have in case of weather events or other pertinent need to contact you in regards to the event. Your information will be neither shared or sold and also not used for group updates after the event unless you sign up with us specifically for that, so relax and leave contact info securely. :)
