38th Big Muddy Film Festival Celebration Reception Chicago!
All alumni and friends of Southern Illinois University are invited to a reception to celebrate the rich history of the Big Muddy Film Festival.  Now in its 38th year and based at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, the BMFF has become one of the best-respected, wholly independent, community-focused film festivals. Big Muddy is among the oldest student-organized film festivals in the United States.

This Chicago reception will feature a Q & A with special guest Cinema and Photography alum and film writer John Scott III (Maggie, 2015).  John will discuss his journey from SIU film student to the acclaimed Tribeca Film Festival.

Meet the organizers of this years Big Muddy Film festival and converse with faculty and students from SIUs Department of Cinema and Photography.
