Girls Got The Blues "They're Back"
Girls Got the Blues is a high energy and amazingly talented band of women who all have their own projects. Led by Lara Price, Blues/R&B vocalist, they pull together to perform at festivals and for special events, like this one. This is your chance to experience the girls in one of their rare appearances. In addition, you will be entertained by the musical keyboard genius of Wendy DeWitt, queen of boogie woogie.
These phenomenal women performers are coming together on Feb 20th, 2-5pm, to support Next Door Solutions for Domestic Violence http://www.nextdoor.org/. This is also your chance to learn about Next Door and show your support for a very important cause in our community. And, there will be a raffle with proceeds to benefit Next Door.
Located at the new venue, "The Studio", at Poor House Bistro,lovely space for this concert, this event is one you won't want to miss!
Girls Got the Blues teaming up with Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence to bring awareness to domestic violence. The show will start with Wendy DeWitt "Queen of Boogie Woogie" on piano! The players for the band are: Laura Chavez on guitar, Janice Maxie-Reid on keys/vocals , Ariane Capp on bass, Robin Roth on drums, Dolly Rappaport on sax/vocals, Pam Hawkins/voclas, The Sweet Nectar :Sue McCracklin & Maureen Smith, and founder Lara Price on guitar/vocals!
