Serafin String Quartet Benefit Concert for UUSMC
Please join us for a special concert with all proceeds benefiting UUSMC.
Serafin String Quartet is comprised of nationally and internationally acclaimed musicians Kate Ransom, violin; Lisa Vaupel, violin; Esme Allen-Creighton, viola; and Lawrence Stomberg, cello.
Hailed for "silken finesse and gritty vibrancy" by Gramophone Magazine and for "playing with style and sophistication" by The Strad Magazine, Serafin String Quartet debuted at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in 2004 and has consistently received superlatives in the press and ovations from audiences around the nation. The Quartet returns to Weill Recital Hall this season (March 2016) to perform the New York premieres of two works by composer Julia Adolphe, along with works by Grieg and Shostakovich.
As Quartet in Residence for the University of Delaware, and in visiting residencies at colleges, universities and high schools around the nation, the Serafins work with young musicians in a variety of settings including coaching, master classes, workshops, and "informances."
Purchase add on ticket of $4.00 and get a delicious lunch of soup, bread, and cheeses prior to the event. Lunch will be served between 12 Noon and 1:00pm. Proceeds from the lunch tickets benefit the Junior Youth Group at UUSMC.
