Dammit, Jim! I'm a Comedienne, Not a Doctor!
"Dammit, Jim! I'm a Comedienne, Not a Doctor!" An innocent suggestion of watching "Star Trek: The Next Generation" for the first time, quickly turned into obsessively delving into the entire Star Trek universe. Every series. Every season. Every film. Then came the Las Vegas convention. These are the voyages of Polly Esther and her two year mission to explore this strange new world.
Polly Esther has worn many hats this past decade. She is a Second City Conservatory graduate, did extensive work both onstage and behind the scenes at the Alumnae Theatre, was a former member of Toronto's Pillow Fight League, starred in "The Vagina Monologues", and is now making her mark in the storytelling world in both Toronto and New York.
Her first one-woman show "Weird Al Saved My Life", made its World Premiere at New York City's Solocom festival in 2014 to rave reviews, and played to sold-out crowds at Toronto's Red Sandcastle Theatre, Summer 2015.
