Saturday Clay Drop-in Studio (Kids)
All Ages (Under 8 requires parent supervision)
All Skill Levels
Saturdays from January 16th until March 19th
1:30 pm to 2:45 pm
$10 for members
$15 for non-members
Instructor: Verge Staff Artists
Advance registration recommended, but drop-ins welcome
Demonstration of clay techniques for new clay artists at 1:30 am
Receive basic instruction to play in clay an create a great artwork. Already have experience in clay? Feel free to come in and work during this time to gain extra practice and meet other young artists. Be sure to look at the Essential Notes below for more information about this studio.
Essentail Notes:
-Studios are not a class with formal lessons but an introductory studio sessions. You'll learn basic techniques through a demonstration but be free to make work of your choosing. If you are looking for more guided instruction, look at our offerings in our Studio-intensive classes.
-For Kids Clay Studio, CHILDREN EIGHT AND UNDER REQUIRE ACTIVE PARENT PARTICIPATION. Parents are welcome to make their own artwork and, if they opt to, will be charged the same rate as a youth participant.
-The piece you make in your first clay session will be available two weeks to fire and be ready to glaze.
-Work you have glazed will be ready for pickup three weeks from the ate you complete your glazing session.
-We are not responsible for work that has been damaged during the firing process.
-Any ceramic work from any classes or studios we have from 2015 should be picked up by 6:00 pm Saturday, January 30. It will be disposed of after this time!
