Guarantee your seat at our upcoming show by purchasing your ticket online!
Join NMD at your favorite Detroit experimental venue as we perform recent compositions by North American composers. Our inspiration for this show came from the 300+ submissions for our 2015 Call For Scores contest. We loved so many of the submitted works that we'd like to share them with you!
Among works programmed are Gabriella Smith's "Number Nine," Molly Joyce's "Luminescence" and Rosheanne Etezady's "Hold Em," featuring tenor saxophone. Patrick O'Malley's "Paths Penumbra" and Sarah Kirkland Snyder's "Thread and Frey" will feature clarinet, viola, marimba and electronics. We are especially thrilled to welcome Canadian composer, Colin MacDonald, as we perform a miniset of his works" "5 Chambered Heart," "Modula 12," and "Vers la Lune."
Vicky Chow, piano Ian Ding, percussion Una O'Riordan, cello Shannon Orme, clarinets Erik Ronmark, saxophone David Buck, flute, Sheryl Hwangbo, violin John Madison, viola
Suggested donation $10-100. Doors 8pm. Show 8:30pm
We hope to see you there!
