Comedian Dwight York's act has always been smart, funny and to the point. It was February 1989 when he took the stage for the first time. And from that very first open microphone set, York established what was to become his trademark style: clever, concise, non sequitur, impeccably timed setup then the punch line type jokes.
Dwight's finely crafted jokes, blended together with his quirky stage persona and his unique style of delivery, quickly established him as one of Minneapolis's hottest young comics. Within two years he began working regularly as a "feature act" at Twin Cities comedy clubs.
Dwight York is not just a funny character with an unforgettable style: he has great jokes. He has lots of hilarious jokes that seem to come from an endless store of clever and original material. Dwight has been invited to the "Edinburgh Fringe Festival" the "Chicago Comedy Festival" been a finalist in the "Vail National Comedy Invitational", a semi-finalist in the "San Francisco International Comedy Contest", a featured performer at the "Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary Celebration and has his own performance stage at the Sturgess Motorcycle Rally.
