A Piece Of The Dream
A Piece of The Dream
A new immersive multi-media experience bringing audience members into the lives of American low-wage workers living on the margins. A Piece of the Dream weaves film, photography, dance, installation art, spoken word and live performance together in order to create space for the voices and stories that all too often go unheard as part of our American narrative. Audience members will travel through several rooms, floors and art forms gaining various perspectives directly inspired by stories of people from the capital region who are considered working poor. A Piece of the Dream is meant to engage and provoke audiences to bear witness to the impacts of earning a low-wage, and to confront the way that this economic marginalization systematically oppresses millions of people in this country, and in turn affects us all. Inspired by an vision of a more just and equitable society, this piece seeks to connect audiences to the struggle of workers and imagine that another world is possible.
Tickets are limited to 10 per performance and are FREE. Donations will be accepted at the door.***
