Dreos Album Release Concert!
Internationally acclaimed uillean piper and scholar Eliot Grasso, and two-time U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Champion, Brandon Vance, will be joined by Canadian multi-instrumentalist Glen Waddell for an toe-tapping, soul-filling evening of traditional and original music.
Dréos is an ensemble of performing composers who invent and arrange new and old music using a traditional vocabulary. The word "Dréos" comes from Scottish Gaelic, and translates into the English word "blaze." Together in the studio for the first time, their debut recording, "The Clearing," was released in October 2015.
This House Concert is graciously hosted by a fine fiddler herself, Susan Burke, and will be Dréos' very first album release concert! There will probably be an open jam session at the end, so bring your instrument (that includes voices!)
Note: If you order your tickets in advance, we'll throw in a copy of the new album for just $10 (normally $15). Tickets are $15 at the door.
