The Jitterbug Volume VI
The Jitterbug is back for one final party before the summer break. On the 8th of June we will be returning to the place it all began, Spanky van Dykes. This time we have something very special planned for you: Speakeasy Leeds resident DJ and circus performer Razzmatazz will treat us to the newest in Electro Swing. His DJ sets never fail to inflate swing music with the heaviest of electro basslines whilst not forgetting to bring it back to its roots. He will be joined by Eden from Kinky Movement, a collective of DJs and Producers who have been pushing the electronic music scene in Nottingham since the mid 90's. Kinky Movement have performed in many countries such as Australia, New Zealand, USA and Russia to name but a few. Supporting the headliners will be our very own residents: The Killer Dillers. This colourful trio with their potent sets of Swing Hop, Electro Swing and Swing'n'Bass have been stirring up audiences across the UK and Europe. With a string of upcoming club and festival bookings this event is the perfect place to see them perform at a small, intimate venue.
In order to meet your dancing needs we will once again be providing a FREE dance class at 9pm. This will be strictly first come, first served, so make sure to get down early as these have been very popular in the past.
Although not compulsory, dressing up is strongly encouraged for the evening as we will be transforming Spanky van Dykes into a 1920's Speakeasy. Here's a few ideas to get you started: 1920s Flapper, 30s Glamor, Pearls, Feather Boas, Flat Cap, Top Hat, Trilby, Waistcoat & Braces, Dinner Jackets & Bow Ties.

*Wolfie Razzmatazz*
Wolfie Razzmatazz began Djing 7 years ago, tickling the fancies of the northern free party scene with his flavours of psychedelic and progressive trance, but in more recent years he has developed a taste for the less serious side of electronic music.
With a strong passion for classic swing, Wolfie discovered electro swing in 2007 and has since been seamlessly slipping the style into his electro house and progressive trance DJ sets at a wide variety of nights and festivals around the UK. The Beats Bizarre heartily welcomed this fusion, it's other residents themselves inspired to add more elements of swing and balkan to an already diverse and open minded event.
Founding Speakeasy - Leeds' finest and first Electro Swing night - gave Wolfie a more captive and consistent audience, fuelling his fever for fusing swing with untouched styles of bass driven electronic music - resulting in a venture into ghetto swing, swing step and jazz wonk.

*Eden Kinky Movement*
Kinky Movement are a trio of Dj's and Producers from Nottingham England. Andrew Mcloughlin, Lee Eden and John Symms have been releasing their music on the worlds top deep house labels since 2004. Some of the labels include Tango, Drop, Amenti,Myna,So Sound. In 2007 Andy and Eden launched their own label Replay Recordings and in 2010 their sub label called Re-edit. Both labels have so far shown success receiving plays from some of the top Dj's in the business.

*The Killer Dillers*
The Killer Dillers are an Electro Swing trio who have been stirring up audiences across the UK and Europe with exciting audio/visual shows, infused with live walkabout sax. TKD have performed at many venues including White Mink (London, UK), Hot Club (Wiesbaden, DE), Monza (Frankfurt, DE) and Hot Club de Swing (Birmingham, UK).
