Washington Contemporary Ballet Presents The Spring Repertory Concert
The Firebird ballet is a story of magic and love. Let this legendary tale enchant you.
The Firebird ballet tells the story of Prince Ivan's journey to win the heart and hand of his princess. Follow Ivan as he seeks help from the Firebird to defeat the evil magician, Kashcheï. Once free from Kashchei's spell, Prince Ivan and his love, Tsarevna are free to marry.
Also featured will be a very special presentation of Collage, an award winning WCB Signature piece will be presented as well as a tribute to our founder, Miss Kay Englert. You don't want to miss this special presentation which will include live music and vocals. Washington Contemporary Ballet Alumni will also be joining us on stage for this powerful piece. Wednesday's performance will be followed by an Alumni Reunion!
Don't miss WCB's presentation of Firebird and Collage. The choreography is inspired; the music is compelling and the costumes are exquisite.
