Free Public Planetarium Show
Bellevue College will be offering free public planetarium shows in its Willard Geer planetarium on the evening of Friday, October 16th, at 7:00 and 8:00PM. Each show will consist of a professionally produced, full-dome video "Wonders of the Universe," as well as a live segment introducing the audience to that night's sky, and will last approximately 45 minutes.
The Planetarium, is a special domed-ceiling room (room B-244) where the nighttime sky is accurately reproduced. Shows are not normally recommended for kids under the age of six, however younger kids may attend the 7:00 show if parents feel they can handle their time in the planetarium (The darkness of the room and the subject and length of the shows has proven to a problem for kids younger than that.) Because the room is dark during the show, there is no late admission.
Admission is free for each show, but reservations must be made in advance, typically a week prior to each show. Reservations can be made through Brown Paper Tickets at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/ with the search term "Bellevue Planetarium." Each link to Brown Paper Tickets is unique. When you finalize your reservations, you will receive a confirmation email. There is information in that email about cancelling your reservations in case your plans change. We do not charge for these events, but we need your help to keep it that way please follow the steps in the confirmation email to release your tickets if you cannot attend.
Parking is free in the parking garage after 3:00pm. A map can be found at http://www.bellevuecollege.edu/location/maps/parking/
