Legnica, 1974. A closed Soviet troop's garrison. 7-year-old boy is being taken away by rail to a psychiatric hospital in Moscow. He is supposed to stay there forever.
Moscow now. Intelligence agency is pursuing a serial killer called the Photographer. Natasha, the sole witness who has survived an encounter with the Photographer, is to act as bait. Why did he spare her life? How does Natasha know that the tracks of the murderer are to be followed in Poland?
Legnica, rok 1974. Zamknięty garnizon wojsk radzieckich. Jednym z transportów wywożony jest do szpitala psychiatrycznego w Moskwie siedmioletni chłopiec. Ma tam zostać na zawsze.
Moskwa, współcześnie. Służby specjalne ścigają seryjnego mordercę, tytułowego Fotografa. Jako przynętę wykorzystują Nataszę, jedyną osobę, która przeżyła spotkanie z Fotografem w sytuacji jego zagrożenia. Dlaczego darował jej życie? Skąd Natasza wie, że w ślad za mordercą trzeba udać się do Polski?
