Saturday, November 21st, 3-4:00 p.m.: Autumn Afternoon of the Arts, a benefit concert to support humanitarian work through the Mothers Legacy Project. Join us for an afternoon of beautiful music by local Portland musical artists Cantor Ida Rae Cahana, Congregation Beth Israel- soprano; Northwest Freedom Singers (members also of the Gospel Christmas chorus); Ann Christensen- violin; Elizabeth Caswell-piano.
Doors open at 2:30 p.m.
Mothers Legacy Project is addressing the most pressing issues identified by the United Nations as facing human rights and the well being of women. In addition to our grassroots humanitarian projects, arts and culture programs, awareness campaigns and education programs, we work at the United Nations in New York and in Geneva, Switzerland where we participate in the Commission on the Status of Women and serve hand in hand with other nongovernmental agencies and nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping families worldwide.
