Beer Classes at The Queens Kickshaw
Our first series of homebrewing classes are being led by Matthew Schaefer, veteran Astoria homebrewer, and author of "The Illustrated Guide to Brewing Beer - A Comprehensive Handbook of Beginning Homebrewing."
By the end of these classes, you'll be ready to make your own beer at home!
Schedule:
April 11 - From grain to glass, understanding the brewing process (This class explores the brewing process as it relates to both commercial brewing and homebrewing)
April 18 - Introduction to homebrewing (This class will equip you with the basics of brewing beer at home)
April 25 - Making your next beer better than your last (By the end of this class, you'll be able to improve your homebrews)
* All sessions are $15 each, or $40 for all three. The classes are structured so that you can attend all three, or just one. Note that each class is limited to 10 people.

2 six gallon pails (fermenter and bottling bucket)
Lid for fermenter with hole for airlock
Airlock and grommet for lid
Plastic syphon with 4' hosing for transferring beer to bottling bucket

2 specialty malt extracts
Mixed grains
2 cheesecloths (to boil the grains)
Bittering/aroma hops
