One of the first operas written specifically for radio, Gian Carlo Menotti's The Old Maid and the Thief was premiered in the famed studio that also broadcast Arturo Toscanini's NBC Symphony concerts, and Saturday Night Live. Join our own live studio audience as we re-imagine a radio broadcast production of this charming and popular work by the Pulitzer Prize-winning composer who would later write the first television opera, the enduring Christmas classic, Amahl and the Night Visitors.
