Kabbalat Shabbat Service + Camp Kitchen + Calico Pie + Late Night Learning
We meet at the S.F. Friends school at 6:15 PM. Get there when you can and enter at the Brosnan Street entrance. There's two parking lots each about a block and a half away (344 14th Street and 1370 Stevenson) and it's close to BART, too.
Shabbat dinner (including vegetarian main dish, challah, soup and salad) all by Calico Pie: Seasonal Edibles and Delights. For more information visit her blog: http://calicopiekitchen.wordpress.com/
Don't forget to bring wine if you want it!
Camp Kitchen taught by Childhood Education Specialist Mimi Grieisman for ages 38.
Shabbat is about remembering the big picture, right? We think learning (especially after eating a wonderful shabbat meal) helps to bring back the ideas that matter and inspire new ones.
We're lucky to have Rabbi Lawrence Kushner (master teacher, father of Kitchen Rabbi Noa Kushner) frame our shabbat table conversations. He's promised to bring a verse or two that will make us see differently than we do the rest of the week and that's just what we've been hoping for.
