Bill Mann - The Concert For An Open Heart
Nashville singer-songwriter Bill Mann will present a concert of original music on Thursday evening, November 15th. Through songs that open the eyes, touch the heart and spark the soul, Bill offers a delightful brand of non-denominational spirituality, expressed through a variety of musical styles, and delivered with a seasoned voice and an acoustic guitar.
A former Pacific Northwest resident, Bill draws on a wide variety of musical influences to express what is important to him: love, spiritual growth, peace, relationships, hope, friendship and laughter, among others. "My songs touch a wide range of emotions, so my audience may laugh in one song and shed a tear in the next, but I still stay pretty much on the positive side of things. The negative side is just not my calling. I like music that lifts me up, makes me feel good and has a positive message, so thats what I write and sing about. I enjoy most kinds of music and recognize that musical style is not an indication of quality. I like melody. I like passion. I like risk-taking. I like music that is gonna change my world for the better."
Bill likes to laugh and has a light-hearted approach to life that is reflected on stage. He has performed in clubs, colleges, festivals, private concerts and seminars for several decades. Along the way, he has entertained audiences across the 48 states and Canada, as well as in Alaska, Europe, Australia and even Africa, and has opened for John Sebastian, Edgar Winter, Robert Cray, Nick Lowe and Delbert McClinton, among others. He has appeared at Nashville's Bluebird Cafe, Amsterdams Paradiso Night Club and Seattles Northwest Folklife Festival, as well as performed live on radio stations from Kodiak, Alaska to Tampa, Florida. He is currently working on a new CD, Heart and Soul, to be released in the Spring.
