Event
Comedy & Blues at the Mirkwood Shire Cafe
Headlining this inaugural comedy show is one of the region's most seasoned performers, Cathy has been seen on HBO, Showtime and MTV where she was made into a real-time animation for a weekly series. She has been featured at the Just For Laugh's Festival in Montreal, the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen and was the only American comedian chosen for the inaugural comedy festival in Cape Town, South Africa. Cathy's humorous take on Seattle current events can be heard on the air at AM 1090. She is also the sideline announcer for the Rat City Roller Girls roller derby league. She delivers candid female locker-room talk about motherhood, marriage, body hair, body parts and sordid fantasies about celebrities all with her signature cheerfulness -- she may even throw in a few numbers from her "Songs of Filth Revue."
Local comedian and entrepreneur, Rob Westvang, will be opening for Cathy Sorbo.
This hilarious school-teacher comic, Cory Michaelis, will be on board to get the audience warmed up with his witty hosting talents!
Directly after you get you lol on, you'll be dancing to The Blues Playground! Started by Northwest music veterans Sean Denton and Jeff Nicely, BLUES PLAYGROUND plays "North Sound" blues. That's a combination of Chicago and Texas blues with a dash of funk and soul topped off with some British blues.
