GKSS Master Class -- Fearless Performing: Cultivating Communicative Power
Repertoire: Brahms: Intermezzi, Opus 119 Nos. 1 and 2
The month's salon is a piano master class titled Fearless Performing: Cultivating Communicative Power, with Madeline Bruser, founder of the Institute. Ms. Bruser is author of The Art of Practicing: A Guide to Making Music from the Heart, and has conducted seminars and workshops at the Juilliard School and other U.S. conservatories. At this master class she will present her unique, holistic approach to the performance, helping gifted young pianist Phoebe Pan release tension and unleash greater musicality. The audience is invited to ask questions of Ms. Bruser and Ms. Pan after the presentation. Repertoire: Brahms: Intermezzi, Opus 119 Nos. 1 and 2
