Bindlestiff Family Cirkus
The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus is coming to Simsbury, CT.
For eighteen years, The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus has been presenting a uniquely American hybrid of the variety arts, circus, sideshow, and vaudeville to audiences across America and around the world. Ringmistress Philomena Bindlestiff presents world class jugglers, clowns, acrobats, aerial artists and more, all with the live, original musical accompaniment of Cirkestra, the Cirkus orchestra. The New York Times said of the BFC, "It's old-fashioned variety entertainment of the sort Ed Sullivan so astutely scooped up, but with twists."
The March 27 performances feature an array of Cirkus stars: the legendary King Charles Troupe will present a high energy unicycle display; Richterscale will attempt various acrobatic feats while walking a wire spanning the stage; Mr. Pennygaff will offer his take on a sideshow classic, swallowing swords, bayonets, and scissors; Philomena's target bull whip act will spotlight a surprise to all; and Miss Ekaterina will present an amazing aerial display. A few lucky audience members will find themselves onstage as part of the action too!
