Boum - New works by Elena Johnston
Elena Johnston is a Baltimore-based artist. She makes collages, paintings, and illustrations. The gestural, tactile, and hands-on approach is what interests her in making art. In this way, she is sometimes considered more of a "fine arts illustrator," in approach, and ultimately in style. She is currently inspired by the paintings of Henri Matisse and Jean Miro. In Boum, she explores the playful relationship between color and shape.
