Charity Think Tank Workshop
FREE AND OPEN TO ALL
Brown Paper Tickets is running a free workshop in which there will be introductions over tea, coffee and snacks and then our guest Chair Bruce Henderson will lead the group discussion looking at the following:
- Challenges and issues for charities in 2012
- Looking at short-term and long-term issues affecting charities
- Funding issues, sustainability, and the benefits of possible collaboration between organisations
Who may attend:
Anyone who works within the Charity sector and wants to share ideas and learn from others.
The workshop will be led by Bruce Henderson, a Community Fundraiser for Crossroads Dunfermline. Crossroads was established in 1983 and provides a high quality home based respite service within the Dunfermline and West Fife area. This service helps local families caring for children, adults and older adults with physical or learning disabilities, mental health problems or sensory impairment. This enables carers to have a break, when required from the stress and isolation of caring for someone, whether young or old.
Bruce is also a former Regional Fundraising Manager for the Royal National Institute of the Blind (Scotland and N.Ireland).
The hope of this Think Tank is to pull resources and information together to strengthen each organisations position, stability and longevity... and perhaps inspire new ideas.
Tea, coffee, biscuits and snacks will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own food or snacks.
