 Women's Roller Derby: Hudson Valley Horrors vs. Montreal
On Sunday, October 28th, 2007 at 7:00PM the Hudson Valley Horrors will host their second local competition when they battle Montreal Roller Derby. Held at Roller Magic in Hyde Park, this event will showcase contemporary women's flat-track roller derby. In unique tribute to Halloween, this bout billed "Frankenskate" promises all the spills and punishing, action-packed glory of this full-contact, all-female sport.
The bout will consist of sixty-minutes of play. Pre-game and halftime entertainment will be provided by the popular local rock band White Knuckle Rodeo. Doors open at 6:00PM. Fans are encouraged to dress in their best Halloween attire.
General admission tickets are available in advance for $10 or at the door for $15. VIP tickets for rink-seating with complementary gift package are $20. Kids under 10 get in free.
The Hudson Valley Horrors began skating in June 2006 and are the area's only women's flat-track roller derby league.
