The Changing Landscape in Accessibility Regulations
The Certified Access Specialist (CASp) Program

The discussion centers on current issues and evolving challenges facing professional practitioners  who are stakeholders  in our built environment. Navigating the exceedingly complex and detailed regulations in the changing landscape of access compliance is daunting and highly misunderstood. As we strive to make our built environment more inclusive, welcoming and easier to use by all customers, patrons and visitors it is important to dispel widely held myths and perceptions. Whether you are a facilities manager, business operator, real estate or design professional, or commercial property owner, knowing how to manage risk and bring about positive outcomes is more important now than ever. With changes to and expansion of accessibility regulations scheduled to become enforceable as of March 15 this year, we must all prepare to utilize the most effective strategies in moving ahead.

Program Speaker:

Craig Williams, a Senior Consulting Architect and Certified Access Specialist, will share practical insight that will be invaluable in charting an optimum path to accessibility, improved market share and competitive edge and business development.

In addition to comprehensive Architectural services, Mr. Williams provides technical specialist and expert services in plans examination, field inspections, forensic analysis, and expert testimony.  He has surveyed facilities, prepared inspection reports and presented findings for over 4M square feet of buildings and facilities ranging from small public accommodations to nationwide franchises, K-12 and college campuses, hospitals and clinics, parks and recreation facilities, hotels and wineries, professional office complexes, retail and hospitality centers, and government facilities for state, city and county entities.
