There MAY be tickets available at the door, but it is not likely, for $40 cash. A waiting list will be started at 6:00PM.
The OVATION Awards was created to acknowledge and celebrate outstanding musical theatre production in the lower mainland of Vancouver both professional and amateur.
Nominees are chosen by artistic peers, then the general public are invited to participate in a popular vote then awards are presented at a public awards presentation/show.
The 2012 OVATION! Awards celebrating the musicals of 2011 will be held at the Vancouver Academy of Music on Sunday January 29th. There is a pre-show reception beginning at 6PM followed by the awards show featuring performances from many of the 2011 musicals at 7PM.
The overall goal is promotion of community spirit, and recognition of the many people that make up the musical theatre community in the lower mainland.
